Gelila Bekele

Entrepreneur-in-Residence

Gelila leads Aone Partners, an investment partnership formed with Trilogy, global software executives and other search fund investors. Aone is focused on acquiring and growing enterprise software and technology-enabled services businesses.

Prior to founding Aone, Gelila was a Director at Banyan software, a Post-Graduate Fellow at Stanford’s Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, and an Associate at BlackRock’s Multi-Asset Strategies and Solutions Group. Gelila earned a BA from Columbia College, where she was a Kluge Scholar, and an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.

Gelila grew up in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and lives in Manhattan. She is a Regional Board Leader of the Stanford Women's Circles in New York. She is also a Board Member of GGRF, an organization investing in the academic and physical education of female student athletes in Ethiopia. In her free time, Gelila enjoys reading philosophy and science fiction books. She also spends a good amount of time on her Afrohouse playlists, proudly ranking in the top 8% of Spotify listeners worldwide.
