Mike Mullen

Operating Executive (CFO)

Mike supports search fund entrepreneurs with expertise in accounting and finance matters. He is available to Trilogy searchers during the post-closing transition, often serving as an interim CFO or Controller, allowing CEOs to focus on growing the new business. He has also supported Trilogy-affiliated operating entities for over 15 years, along with other clients that have ranged from small privately owned companies to large publicly traded entities. Prior to starting his own consulting practice in 2004, Mike worked as an assurance Senior Manager at Ernst & Young, as Director of Finance for a SaaS company, and in the finance group for a large health insurance company. Mike has a BA from the University of Washington and an MBA from Seattle University, and he has been a licensed CPA in Washington state since 1994.

Mike is a native of Seattle where he lives with his wife Jessica and their two rescue dogs, Tina and Maggie. Mike also volunteers as the Chair for a local non-profit and in his free time enjoys jogging, hiking, scuba diving and driving his 1970 Mustang.

“What I really enjoy about working with search fund entrepreneurs is making their lives easier by ensuring that many of the accounting and financial items that are often overlooked are taken care of post-closing. It brings me great satisfaction to add value by easing the transition to a new management team.”
